Hurricane Helene Relief

Every Little Bit Helps

Hurricane Helene tore a 500-mile path of destruction through several states. At Harrisonburg Hyundai, we want to help. Here are several organizations providing support if you'd like to help, too.

The American Red Cross

The American Red Cross has sent hundreds of people to Florida, North Carolina, and other states affected by the hurricane. You can donate to the Red Cross by going to their website.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army provides emergency services to survivors and rescue workers, including food and shelter. You can donate to this organization by going to their website.

The United Way

The United Way is another well-known organization that provides support for natural disaster victims and survivors. You can find your local United Way chapter by visiting the United Way website.

Your donation will provide immediate relief in the areas hardest hit by the hurricane and help the people who live in these areas begin to rebuild.

GoFundMe

GoFundMe has created a Hurricane Relief Fun to directly relieve people after a hurricane. Donations to this will help as many people as possible after a hurricane, and it is tax-deductible.

World Central Kitchen

World Central Kitchen partners with local organizations to activate a network of food trucks and set up emergency kitchens so that first responders and victims can have access to freshly made, nutritious food. You can help by going to their website and making a donation.

All Hands and Hearts

All Hands and Hearts starts working after disasters such as hurricanes to rebuild homes, schools, and other buildings in local communities. They started a Helene fund, which you can donate to by going to their website.

Americares

Americares is an important organization because it responds to the urgent medical needs of the survivors. Not only does Americares get medication to the people who need it, but they also work to set up programs to help people as they rebuild. Just a $1 donation can give up to $20 in aid to the people in need.

Operation Blessing

Clean water, food, and medicine are an immediate need for many people after a disaster. Operation Blessing works with local churches to bring these supplies to people in need. Donations are accepted on their website.

Save The Children

There are thousands of children and families who need help in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Save the Children focuses on supplies for parents who need help. They will distribute diapers, baby wipes, and other supplies for young children. You can help by donating to the Children’s Emergency Fund. If you want to see if you can help even further, you can see if your employer will match your gift.

Harrisonburg Hyundai Helps Their Community and Beyond

Not everyone has a lot to give, but even a small donation can help. The people at Harrisonburg Hyundai want to make a difference, especially in times when the need is as urgent as it is now after Hurricane Helene.

You can help by going to the websites of any of these organizations or the others that have set up funds to raise money to support the people who were hardest hit.
